Which voice chat program do you like best?

Ok, out of the following 3 voice chat programs, which one do you all feel is the best? Skype, Teamtalk, or Ventrilo? I like Skype the best because you can just install it and start talking, but I gotta say the quality of Teamtalk and Ventrilo are much better, especially on broadband. So if Skype could figure out a way to raise the voice quality a bit it'd be perfect. It's certainly not bad but as I said, it could be better.

I've only used Skype and Ventrilo. I prefer Skype. The sound quality sounds just fine to me.

Vonage? oh wait you didn't list that one. grin. probably skype but I hardly ever use it.

Yeah. How much quality do you really need for voice though? Skype works just fine for me. It's definitely the easiest to install and use, and the most natural.

Yup, skype is the one and it works great on the Mac and is actually easier to use with voiceover then with windows and screen reader. It's where I had my first experience with skype and when I tried to use it in windows it didn't make as much sence to me. Now if the skype developers would just put a shortcut in the menus to anser a call that would be great.

Did anyone try voip buster? www.voipbuster.com.
It's interesting because it offers very chip phone calls. With 10 euros every 120 days people can make phone calls to land lines to the most popular countries for free. It also works like skype it's free for online conversations.
The only problem i have got with it is signinn in to their website to buy credits so i can make phone calls. I enter my username and password and it says session time out. I know my username and password is correct because when is not corect it doesn't say session time out but error or something.
It's easy to create an accound with it almost like skype no characters or anything to enter in a box. Contact list doesn't seam accessible.
So if anyone tried it it would be good to hear some oppinions about it.

I didn't like voipbuster cause it limits calls and doesn't have US call in numbers. I am really enjoying gizmo because it takes less resources than skype. I've been reading onthe skype forums about how people are ditching skype due to it's lack of active tech support and the general unwillingness to listen to suggestions. it's hard to compare skype and ventrilo as they are two different things, but if you were to ask me what my favorite peer to peer voice client was. I'd say gizmo. my favorite server based system may actually be team talk. I feel it has more promise, and the developer isn't money hungry like the flagship guy who does ventrilo.

yes you can't compare skype and vt they do 2 totally different things. skype is for making eithr pear to pear calls or phone calls, where as vt iss a voice chat programme that works on a server. you can't compare the 2.

I've yet to try Gizmo, but I think it's worth a look. I hear you have to have sighted help with the registration process, though. Any word on how receptive the Gizmo people are to adding an audio alternative?

I never wrote to them. someoen should. I'm sure they'd be more reseptive. the program is a work in progress. it's an interesting idea.

The only slight problem I have with skype is when it cuts calls out for a timeor hangs up. Not when you accidentally do it on someone like twice ask silly singer lol. Vt is good, but they're right you can't compare the two.

voipbuster's quality has gotten heaps worse than it was before! that's strange since they're always coming out with updates and stuff!

I am looking forward to seeing how responsive gizmo developers are. I did write them asking for an answer item in the menu. This shouldn't be hard and they say they will forward the request to there developters. Hmm, skype said the same thing. Let's see waht the next version holds. If they actually do it I will almost be impressed.

I would agree skype and ventrilo are not comparible. Skype is useds mainly between two people. Ventrilo is a setting where you can have many people come in and talk all together. Skype stinks with more then two people because every one starts to cut out and drop out of the conference. Ventrilo is much mor stable then skype in my opinion though.

ok you want an option to answer the call. Is it so hard to click alt c then answer or alt page up? Wow and you really do need a degree to operate these new fangled umm what? computers?
